LANDSDALE, PA – May 13, 2024 – Greene Tweed, a leading global manufacturer of high-performance sealing solutions and engineered components, is excited to announce that it has appointed Shawn McCloskey as its Chief Commercial Officer.

McCloskey brings more than 16 years of cross-functional leadership spanning Operations, Business, and Commercial verticals to his position as Greene Tweed CCO, where he will oversee global Sales, Sales Support, Sales Operations, Marketing, market-backed industry strategies and market expansion teams in alignment with driving the company’s strategic direction.

Previously, McCloskey was Senior Business Director at the Chemours Company, where he managed Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, and Demand Management teams accountable for leading overall strategy and record business growth of the Thermal and Specialized Solutions (TSS) businesses across the Americas.

McCloskey served over 12 years at DuPont and its spin-off, Chemours. His tenure included five years in leadership roles within DuPont’s Fluoropolymer Operations. At Chemours, he spearheaded the company’s transition as a new independent entity, collaborating closely with the executive team on enterprise-wide cost-saving initiatives and strategic planning across various businesses. He progressed to his most recent role following several Commercial positions, including Global Key Account Manager for Chemours’ largest commercial account, followed by leadership roles for both the Titanium Technologies and TSS businesses.

McCloskey began his career with Celanese as a Process Improvement Engineer and Operations Unit Manager after receiving his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He also holds an MBA from Ohio University, in addition to being proficient in Six Sigma & Lean methodologies.
